Expenses and Invoices are free on every vessel. The rest of the Finance section is the Finance add-on, priced per vessel per month. On a vessel without it, those pages show what the add-on includes and how to switch it on.
What the add-on includes
- •APA, Gratuities, Budgets & Reporting
- •Books: a double-entry ledger kept up to date as you work
- •Payroll: monthly runs, payslips, bank files and approvals
- •Exports for your accountant and your owner
Trying it: the free trial
If you are the account owner, an account admin for the vessel, or a Sealogical administrator, the Finance section offers Start 30-day free trial. Press it, read the date in the confirmation, and confirm. Finance opens straight away.
- •The trial is free until the date shown. From that date it is added to your subscription at the price shown, on your next invoice, unless you switch it off first.
- •You are reminded by email 7 days before, 1 day before, and on the day.
- •Each vessel gets one trial. After it, the button reads Add to subscription.
Asking for it
If you cannot switch it on yourself, press Ask your account owner to switch this on. Your account owner and admins get a notification and an email with a link to Settings → Add-ons, and Sealogical is copied. The button then reads Request sent with the date, so nobody is asked twice.
Switching it on, or off, later
Settings → Add-ons lists every vessel you manage with each add-on's state: Off, Free trial until a date, or On since a date. From there you can Add to subscription or Switch off.
Switching the add-on off keeps every record. APA, Gratuities, Budgets, Books and Payroll are closed until it is switched on again, and everything comes back as it was. Expenses and Invoices stay open, and crew can still see their own payslips.
